Remembrance Sunday falls on 10th November this year. We have printed and digital resources available for you to use in your churches, with your community, and during personal reflection, as you spend time remembering those lost to wars both historical and current.
This was created for the centenary of the start of the First World War, and has been used since to remember the millions of lives lost then and since to conflicts around the globe.
The film contrasts the busyness of contemporary daily life with the daily act of remembrance at the Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium, and the chimes of Big Ben leading into two minutes of silent reflection. Words of Scripture hang in the silence as we remember the 16 million who lost their lives in WW1 and the millions who have died and been affected by subsequent conflicts around the world.
[NOTE: film is timed with a countdown to begin playing at 10:58, with exact timings through the 11am silence.]

WWI Active Service Saint John’s Gospel
First produced in 1914 by Scripture Gift Mission, 43 million copies of the Gospels were shared amongst soldiers, prisoners and refugees in WW1. This replica marked the 100th anniversary of the First World War and continues to resource the forces.
